Salt Water Generators
A salt water pool is a great way to have a clean, safe swimming pool while also creating a more mild chemical environment.
A quick water test will allow us to fine tune your salt content in your pool to optimize your salt water generator. We can help you dial in the percentage to run your cell to keep you pool clean, and prolong its life.
On a quarterly basis we clean salt cells to ensure calcium deposits are not allowed to remain and block or slow the water flow to your equipment and system.
At each route visit our technician will look over the plumbing, fittings, and connections. We take care of any water leaks when they start to prevent lasting damage. If any pipes, fittings or unions need attention we will resolve these issues for our customers.
If you happen to break a pipe or have a water pipe freeze, our technicians are trained in proper pvc pipe repair and will work quickly to get you back up and running.
If you would like a swimming pool plumbing evaluation or quote to fix a broken pipe, give us a call today!

If you are constantly adding chlorine, raising your salt cell percentage, or constantly adding chlorine tablets you may have an algae problem. Contact us today so we can test your water to confirm.
To test for algae our pool service technicians do an overnight chlorine drop test. We test your chlorine level at night to get a baseline amount. We then cover the pool and let it sit overnight. We then test again first thing in the morning and see how much the chlorine level dropped. A drop of more than 1ppm typically indicates algae present and a shock treatment is necessary. Contact us today to set up a time for us to test your water for algae.
Cloudy water is treated by our pool service professionals in a similar way to algae. Use of clarifiers and other such products typically masks an underlying condition so it is to be avoided.
We require all pools under our service contracts to be cleaned at a minimum of once per quarter. The single most important thing you can do to prolong the life of your pool equipment is keeping your pool filters and salt cells clean. This ensures water flows at its intended rate and does not put undue stress on components.
We clean all salt cells on our routes at a minimum of once per quarter. If you have a pool automation system, they typically will advise after a certain number of hours in use to clean.
We recommend changing your pool pump seals before they start leaking. Typically every 5 years is sufficient if you maintain your water chemistry correctly.
We recommend a robotic electric pool vacuum system to all our clients. This keeps the dirt, dust, debris, and garbage contained in the vacuum itself rather than running it through your plumbing, pumps and filters. One benefit of a vacuum such as the Dolphins Active 20 or Pentair 920 is it does not require the pump to be running and it will clean your waterline tile.
For the absolute best price on a robotic vacuum contact us today!
A variable speed pump can save an enormous amount of electricity. Typically when ran at 50 percent power, you save around 90 percent of your electricity. When we calculate pump run times we determine flow rate, pool size, and amount of typical use and dirt. We can then arrive at a good starting point for pool pump runtime. Give us a call today for a pool water evaluation and consultation.
pH-Between 7.2 and 7.8. Ideal 7.5
Chlorine-Between 4-11ppm depending on CYA level
CYA-50-100ppm(This depends if you have a salt system)
Your chlorine level is determined by whether or not you are using a salt water generator or liquid chlorine. It is also dependent on your cyanuric acid level. Cyanuric acid is chlorine stabilizer and acts as a buffer. The higher the stabilizer level the higher your maintenance chlorine level must be. Give us a call to get a free consultation and water evaluation.
Swimming Pool Filter Cleanings
In order to keep your system running at its optimum, we recommend having your filters cleaned once per quarter. This ensures there is sufficient flow for pumps, heaters, and salt cells. It helps to keep your equipment running longer and much more efficiently.
Clean your cartridge filters requires disassembly of your filter housing, removal of the filters, high-pressure spraying to clean the filters, and reassembly. Without clean filters, your pool will not be able to run to its full potential. If you don’t know when the last time your filters were cleaned was, schedule Splash Doctor to come out today.
Pool Salt Generator Cell Cleanings
The majority of our trouble calls for heater issues, pump problems, and general pool issues usually stem from poor water flow. One major culprit for low flow is a clogged, dirty saltwater generator. If your saltwater generator is sized appropriately for your swimming pool we recommend you clean your salt cell at the same time as your pool filters.
By keeping the salt cell calcium buildup under control you will prolong the life of your saltwater generator, and prevent other problems with the rest of your equipment. To schedule a saltwater generator cleaning contact Splash Doctor today!
Pool Portal Access
As part of your swimming pool service, you have access to your very own pool portal. In the portal you will be able to see each visit, the water test results, chemicals added, and photos of our entire visit.
